The feeding principle

From bulk supply to repeatable presentation.

The S-MVF01 combines motor-driven belt transport with direct vibration at the pick area. The result is a compact route for physically distinguishable bulk parts that need to reach an SMT mounter in a stable orientation.

01

Load in bulk

Loose components enter the feed area without requiring tape or tray packaging.

02

Select on the belt

The selection track separates parts with distinguishable physical characteristics.

03

Return non-selected parts

NG or non-selected material returns by belt for the next selection cycle.

04

Present at pick point

Direct vibration and fiber-optic sensing support positioning for the mounter pick.

Designed around the line

Compact enough to sit close to the placement process.

Sensing at the feed position

Fiber-optic induction and direct-vibration delay are specified for component positioning.

Adjustable feed speed

Infinitely variable speed control supports setup around the validated component and mounter cycle.

Fixture matched to the mounter

Positioning key and clamping block are standard; alternative fixing structures can be matched during engineering review.

Verified core data

Key parameters for initial feasibility.

These values are taken from the provided S-MVF01 Belt Bulk Feeder product material. Final suitability must be confirmed against the component geometry, pins, orientation and target mounter interface.

Application fit

Best when component handling needs more flexibility than a dedicated bowl.

S-MVF01 is intended for suitable bulk components such as connectors, buzzers, network ports, terminals and square capacitors. It should be selected after a physical review of the part, pins and orientation needs.

Bring these to the application review

  • Component photos, drawings and a sample quantity
  • Overall dimensions, pin geometry and any marking/orientation requirement
  • Placement machine brand, model and available interface space
  • Target cycle time and expected production volume

Important fit limits

  • Parts must have distinguishable physical characteristics for selection
  • Components with easily deformed pins are not recommended
  • Parts with a length-to-height ratio below 1:1.2 are not recommended
  • Final tooling and controls are confirmed by the Southern Machinery engineering team

Southern Machinery has supplied SMT, THT, soldering and board-handling automation from Shenzhen since 2011. The feeder can be considered as part of a wider material-supply and placement solution, with integration, training, remote support and spare-parts planning aligned to the final project scope.

Before we quote the feeder

Send the component list and the exact target mounter.

A feeder is matched to both the physical component and the placement machine. Complete the component template for every part you want to feed, then confirm the brand and exact model of the machine where S-MVF01 will be installed.

1. Complete the component template

Use one row per component. This allows our engineering team to review physical fit, orientation and feeding feasibility before offering a configuration.

  • Part number and descriptionState the customer part number and a clear component description.
  • Component photoInsert clear photos of the actual part, including pins and orientation where relevant.
  • PW, PL, H and LH dimensionsEnter the component dimensions in mm as shown in the template.
  • MVF judgmentLeave this for Southern Machinery engineering confirmation after review.

2. Identify the placement machine

Confirm where the feeder will operate. The mounter interface is a required part of the engineering review, not an afterthought.

  • Mounter brand and exact modelFor example, provide the complete placement machine brand and model number.
  • Feeder rail or interface photosInclude photos of the available feeder position and mounting area when possible.
  • Existing feeder referenceShare the current feeder type, interface or sample part number if one is available.
  • Required cycle and quantityState the required feeding cycle and which components will run on the line.

For the fastest review, send the completed Excel template, actual component photos and target-mounter information together. Southern Machinery will confirm the closest configuration from the catalog or recommend another feeding solution when S-MVF01 is not suitable.

Start an application review

Give your loose components a repeatable path to pick.

Send the component type, size range and mounter model. Southern Machinery will review the application and match the closest S-MVF01 configuration or recommend a more suitable feeding method.
