Operators as waste handlers
Manually scissoring tape at every reel change pulls skilled operators away from value-added placement work, shift after shift.
SMT line housekeeping · 5S & ESD discipline
Mounts under your pick-and-place feeder cart and automatically cuts scrap carrier tape into compact pieces — so operators keep placing boards, not chasing tape.
Fits Hanwha / Samsung SM series, JUKI, Sony and domestic mounter feeder carts. Custom lengths available for your cart layout.
The hidden cost of scrap tape
Every finished reel leaves a long tail of carrier tape. Left unmanaged, it steals operator time, clutters aisles and undermines the 5S and ESD discipline your customers audit.
Manually scissoring tape at every reel change pulls skilled operators away from value-added placement work, shift after shift.
Uncut scrap tape tangles around feeder carts and aisles, creating a housekeeping problem that shows up in every customer audit.
Hand-cutting thousands of tape ends per day exposes operators to blade injuries that automated cutting eliminates.
Paper tape and embossed plastic tape behave differently; one fixed manual routine rarely handles both cleanly.
Loose, uncut tape fills waste bins in hours, forcing repeated line-side trips just to empty them.
Cheap cutters dull quickly and jam, trading a small purchase price for endless blade swaps and downtime.

Tape is drawn in and cut the moment it leaves the feeder — no scissors, no hands.
Rotational circular high-speed steel gear blades draw in and cut carrier tape automatically at 76 mm/s.
Scrap tape is processed as fast as the mounter feeds it, with zero manual cutting at the cart.
Operators stay on placement and changeover work instead of waste handling — more boards per shift.
Longer blade lifecycle versus conventional cutter designs — fewer swaps, lower consumable spend.
Manual cuts per shift. Scrap tape goes from feeder to sealed bin without touching an operator.
Total power draw on a standard 220 V single-phase supply — negligible energy cost per line.
Solid steel-body build on lockable casters, stable under the feeder cart all shift long.

Technical evaluation FAQ
Paper carrier tape from 8 to 32 mm wide and embossed plastic tape. Very thin vinyl tape is not recommended. If you run an unusual tape format, send a sample description with your inquiry and we confirm compatibility before quotation.
Installation references include Hanwha / Samsung SM411, 421, 471, 481, 482, plus, S1 and S2 feeder carts, JUKI KE-series trolleys, Sony lines and domestic mounter brands. The body length can be customized to match your cart footprint.
Rotate the emergency stop switch to the on position, then press ON at AUTO. The blade unit starts moving and cuts tape continuously until the collection bin is removed or the emergency stop is pressed.
Empty the collection bin as required, replace the blade when cutting quality drops, check the helical gear every 3 months, lubricate the LM shaft as required, and check belt tension monthly. The high-speed steel rotary blade design delivers up to 4× the lifecycle of conventional cutters.
Yes. The cutting path is enclosed, an emergency stop is on the front panel, and the machine removes the need for manual scissor cutting — the cut-risk task it replaces was the hazard.
